About Womb Quake
Who are you?
The brief version is - my name is MJ, I’m an Australian who lived in Japan for over 15 years and am married to Yoshi, a rather non-typical Japanese boy. I gave birth to Elliot Mason in a Japanese birth clinic in Kanagawa in 2008 and we lived in Japan until 2011 when we moved (miraculously after Cyclone Yasi and a week before the Tsunami in Japan) to Cairns, Australia.
Where the hell does “Womb Quake” come from?
While pregnant I was in irc and I was sneezing a lot and commented that it must feel like an earthquake for the Blob (as he was then known) and hence the phrase “womb quake” was born. Of course I had to get the url - I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with it at the time but then thought I may as well use it for this.
As for quakes I have rather an obsession for them - you would know this if you read Cerebral Soup (^_~).
Archives
Some of the older entries have come from Cerebral Soup, others adapted from emails, and some from private scribbles to myself over my pregnancy. Mostly they are photographs though to share with his overseas family and friends.
Contributors
Well apart from me (obviously) Tracey, Kristen and Yoshi may be moblogged at some point during the actual birth.
