Looking at Nanna
Yesterday as it was the anniversary of Mum’s passing I showed Elliot Mason some of her pictures and talked about her. We actually look at her and Dad’s photograph collages often as they are on the wall in the living room.
One thing I struggled with (and still do struggle with) emotionally is that Elliot Mason won’t ever get to meet Mum and Dad. And they never got to enjoy having a grandchild. It was something Dad talked about when I visited him for the last time. Which was of course heartbreaking at the time.
All I can do is show him the photographs and play him the tapes of Dad’s music and tell stories. I can’t turn back time.

It’s nowhere near the same thing, but EM will have lots and lots of uncles and aunts who love him to bits.

Absolutely beautiful picture, beautiful post. And what Neddy said

Certainly you cannot turn back time, but ensuring that EM knows where he has come from will certainly help him on the path of where he is going.

Hi Megan what a beautiful picture of Elliot & yes you know he will know his Nanna & Granddad because you will constantly remind him & so u should. He will soon become very knowing (if he’s not already) & you will project to him whats in your heart. Keep well K.
