Rough Night with the Peanut Bladder

After the big walk* yesterday I was feeling pretty good. Although I had to stop several times when things got a bit too ouchies. The kid was pretty active on the bus ride home and afterwards.

Then from about 6pm on - damn. Practice contraction after practice contraction. They were really quite painful and my lower back was very sore. Started to get concerned it was the Big Moment with some other signs starting to show.

Was up every 1-2 hours in the night having to pee which was a real blast as you can imagine - but things started to slow down from this morning. Had a few noticeable twinges but not like last night.

This would be much less nerve wracking if there was a big definite sign for going into labour. We assume that waters breaking + contractions = labour, but no it’s not as simple as that. Everyone is different!

What fun.

* D, L & Tubbs came down to entertain me for a couple of hours and we ended up strolling by the river and through the huge park here, ending up at the train station eventually. Last week the Doctor said to make sure I was getting in enough formal walking (as opposed to just fidgeting around all the time) - although he probably didn’t mean the amount I accidentally ended up doing…

D carried Tubbs when she got tired but unfortunately that offer didn’t extend to me….

oh hey there
